Improving our services to you

In 2019 BSMQ will be making some changes to our online services and our events offering for migration agents, after our annual satisfaction survey highlighted these as two areas for improvement.

Registered migration agents and solicitors from the migration profession shared their 2019 resolutions and predictions and offered some words of inspiration for the year ahead.

BSMQ 2018 end-of-year events and awards

BSMQ teamed up with the Australia China Business Council for its end-of-year event on 29 November on Level 41, 1 William Street. The Queensland chapter of Migration Institute of Australia end-of-year function was also held there on 13 November.

Updates

Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) re-opened

 

BSMQ is processing expressions of interest for skilled visas received in December 2018.

 

The Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) was re-opened on 25 January 2019 to selected visa subclasses until additional nomination quota has been filled.

Chinese New Year starts on 5 February 2019 and the Year of the Pig is starting! To celebrate Brisbane is hosting a series of events via the BrisAsia Festival from Saturday 9 February - Sunday 3 March.

The total assets to be transferred from the 600 Business Visa Nominations issued by BSMQ in FY 2017-18 was $1.21 billion.
